1. How do I apply to a specific position?
  • From the Careers home page, click "Job Search" and then select the job posting you would like to apply to. Click "Apply online".
  • Select "I am a new user," enter your email address and create a confidential password for yourself. This password will allow you to access your profile in our database at any time.
  • You will be asked to enter personal information (name, address, phone number, etc.)
  • You will also have the option to cut and paste your resume.
  • Finally, you will be prompted to complete a Profile section describing your job-related preferences. You will now be eligible for consideration for future opportunities.

2. My friend referred me. What now?
  • If a Canadian Tire employee has successfully referred you to a position, you will receive an email link inviting you to submit a profile.
  • You will only be able to activate the link once, so make sure you have the time to complete an application (about 10 minutes). The link is time sensitive to the closing date of the opportunity, so if you are interested, make sure you apply in time as you will be unable to apply to a position once it has closed.

3. How do I submit a general profile?
If there are no current opportunities that interest you, you can submit a general application or profile. This profile tells us about your job preferences (e.g. job type, location, work hours, etc.). You can update your profile at any time to ensure we have your most current information.
 

  • From the Careers page, click "Submit Your Profile".
  • Select "I am a new user", enter your email address and create a confidential password for yourself. This password will allow you to access your profile in our database at any time.
  • You will also have the option to cut and paste your resume.

4. Can I update my profile and/or apply for a new position?
If you are a returning candidate and would like to update your profile and/or apply to a new position, simply log in as a “Returning Candidate” and follow the appropriate steps.

5. I forgot my password. How do I get a new one?
Simply log in as a returning candidate and click “Forgot Password”. You will receive an email describing how you can set up a new password.

6. What can I expect after submitting an application?
  • You will receive an automated email notification confirming the receipt of your application. Your application will be captured in our database and reviewed against the position you have applied for. Your profile will also be matched against any other suitable opportunities that correspond to the job criteria you have selected.
  • If there is a current opportunity that matches your qualifications and experience, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Your resume will remain active in our database for up to one year and will be considered for future positions.

7. I didn’t get a confirmation email from Canadian Tire. Does that mean you did not get my application?

With so many anti-spam filters, there is a possibility that the email confirmation went into your junk mail folder automatically. Please check your junk mail folder.
