FAQs

Learn how we find the right talent for our teams

At Canadian Tire, finding and nurturing great talent is a top priority. We know that our aspirations to be a world-class retailer will only be met if we have the right team and the right culture in place. We’re serious about attracting and retaining world-class talent that will drive our business success in the years to come.

What does that mean for our candidates? It means you can expect an interview process that is tailored to the position you are applying for, and may include an online assessment, in-person interviews, technical skill assessments and other exercises. We assess candidates and help them find the role that is best suited to their unique skill sets and experience.  When a candidate’s talents are maximized in the right opportunity, everybody wins.

I want to apply to Canadian Tire Corporation. Now what?

Reviewing current openings and applying online are the first steps to starting your journey with Canadian Tire. You will be asked to create an account and complete a short profile to submit your application. This allows you to track your application, save job searches and apply to future opportunities. It also lets us keep your story and credentials in one central location so we can keep track of you as a candidate.

Once you have applied, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will review your qualifications. If your background and experience fit a current opportunity, she or he will contact you directly by phone or email to further assess your experience. Successful candidates will be invited to an in-person or virtual interview. You’ll talk to the people who know the team and the role best, and be able to ask detailed questions to decide if it’s the right opportunity for you.
