Canadian Tire Jumpstart® Charities
Strong communities include strong kids. We believe all kids should have the chance to run, skate, play and grow. Canadian Tire Jumpstart® is a community-based charitable program that helps kids participate in organized sport and recreation, such as hockey, dance, soccer and swimming, which will help develop important life skills, such as self-esteem and confidence.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart® Charities provides support to Canadians through two programs--Canadian Tire Jumpstart® and Canadian Tire Jumpstart® Communities.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart®
Our signature program, Canadian Tire Jumpstart®, provides Canadian kids, age four to 18, in financial need, access to sport and recreation by covering the cost of registration, equipment and/or transportation. National in scope but local in focus, Canadian Tire Jumpstart® delivers support to children in financial need through a Canadian-wide network of local chapters. These chapters are made up of a variety of community leaders committed to helping kids get active, such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters, YMCA, and Parks and Recreation.
These community partners are joined by Canadian Tire Dealers and Petroleum Agents, and together the chapters identify children in financial need who would benefit from the program.
To date, there are more than 310 Canadian Tire Jumpstart® chapters in communities across the country. Since its launch in 2005, Canadian Tire Jumpstart® has helped give more than 440,000 kids in financial need the chance to play.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Communities
Canadian Tire Jumpstart® Communities gives families and communities in Canada a boost when they need it most by helping to meet life’s basic needs. The program runs in partnership with Canadian Tire Dealers and corporate employee teams, to provide financial support to community charitable organizations that provide services and goods to people in need. Canadian Tire Jumpstart® Communities also responds in times of family and community crisis and regional disasters.
